Lithium-ion batteries enjoy widespread utilization across diverse domains globally, with the electric vehicle (EV) sector emerging as a prominent consumer. However, challenges persist in accurately gauging the performance of EV batteries, compounded by a scarcity of relevant data accessible online.
This study addresses several pertinent concerns, including methodologies for data acquisition pertaining to battery current during EV operation and the influence of various driver profiles and road conditions on battery State of Charge (SoC). This research helps to understand the minimum time required to predict the SoC drop during a trip and effectively helps a driver to know what will be the state of charge of the EV car battery at the end of the trip, eventually helping drivers mitigate Range anxiety.
